I already have an Anbernic RG40xxv and now I tested the TrimUI Brick.
1. The Brick has a way better screen but smaller 3.2inch. Its really small compared to RG40XXV. You may also find difficult to hold the brick properly while playing games due to its small size.
2. The Brick has very good music quality which can be used as a MP3 player on go. Its so good and way better than RG40XXV. Also supports bluetooth Audio as well including gamepad.
3. The Brick has a pdf reader, A music player, A video player so its a multimedia device which can play some games as well.
4. But for rest everything RG40XXV is best... Yes Anbernic devices and firmware are better optimized that you can play all games upto PSP, no issues at all. Brick can show those games in list but its almost not playble. PSP, SS and even DreamCast games are not playble at all, I have tried all the available custom firmware and official as well. Its a way low power when playing games. Brick also heatup lot.
5. So if you really wanted a multimedia device and play some retro games occasionally, then Brick is best for you. But if you really want play some good games and you locked in this budget.. RG40XXV is the best option for you. Its made for playing retro games only even the screen is little low resolution. I hope Anbernic will include a high resolution screen. No regret to buy Brick but its not a practical retro gaming device.
